WHAT WE'VE DONE

Community Survey - The Impact of Covid-19 on Tech Companies in Manitoba

Tech Manitoba  conducted a survey which went out to our members and the greater tech community in Manitoba on March 22, 2020 and closed April 13, 2020.

The survey consisted of a variety of questions created to give a broad snapshot of tech ecosystem in Manitoba during the COVID-19 pandemic. It was designed to give companies the opportunity to share their stories and give insight into the support and aid they are looking for from government and the association during this time.

Social Distancing has placed greater emphasis on the Internet as a lifeline to school, work, family friends, and information. Unfortunately, people who lack digital skills and computers are left behind.

In collaboration with Computers For Schools, Tech Manitoba and the community stepped up to provide 241 refurbished, sanitized computers to give away to those most in need across Manitoba.  Thanks to our collaborator, a little army of volunteers, nominators, and staff, we were able to make a positive difference.
