Artificial Intelligence for
Non-Profits
Practical Artificial Intelligence (AI) for Non-Profits is a new initiative from Tech Manitoba that supports Manitoba non-profit organizations in identifying and safely installing a digital tool, to solve a specific operational challenge.
Through this program, four selected non-profits will be paired with Manitoba-based tech companies for hands-on, step-by-step support. Together, they will identify and apply a useful artificial intelligence solution to streamline a single workflow, which will reduce administrative burden, save employee time, and improve day-to-day operations.
The program will support:
- One Northern Indigenous-based non-profit
- One rural-based non-profit
- Two Winnipeg-based non-profits
Participation is provided at no cost.
Participating organizations will also contribute to the creation of simple, real-world case studies, helping other non-profits across Manitoba learn what’s possible with practical, responsible AI use.
Who should apply:
Non-profits and Manitoba-based charitable organizations are encouraged to apply if they have a clearly defined workflow challenge where AI could make a meaningful difference, and they have staff capacity to actively work alongside a matched tech partner throughout the program. Program adoption activity must be wrapped up by March 31, 2027.
Deadlines:
Application process to apply for a spot closes April 30, 2026.
