NEW CEO TAKES THE LEAD AT TECH MANITOBA


KAY GARDINER APPOINTED AS CEO

The Tech Manitoba Board of Directors is pleased to announce that we have engaged Kay Gardiner as CEO (Interim). Effective immediately, Kay will assume the leadership role for the association, navigating the rapidly evolving reality for the tech community during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Change brings opportunity for growth,” says Ryan Klassen, Chairman of Tech Manitoba’s Board of Directors. “Kay’s proven commitment to collaborative problem-solving and access to a broad reaching network are strong assets to the community.”

Kay Gardiner has been a senior member of Tech Manitoba’s leadership team since 2015. As Program Director of Tech West Canada, she partnered with local, provincial and federal governments and worked with startups, SMEs and scaleups from across Canada to access global markets.

COMMUNITY SURVEY RESULTS


THE IMPACT OF COVID-19 ON TECH COMPANIES IN MANITOBA

Tech Manitoba  conducted a survey which went out to our members and the greater tech community in Manitoba on March 22, 2020 and closed April 13, 2020.

The survey consisted of a variety of questions created to give a broad snapshot of tech ecosystem in Manitoba during the COVID-19 pandemic. It was designed to give companies the opportunity to share their stories and give insight into the support and aid they are looking for from government and the association during this time.
